Homework 3: Martin Creed's, Work No. 850

The Tate in Britain is a Neoclassical gallery that displays artwork in a quiet setting. Martin Creed displayed is performance piece, No. 850 in the museum as well. His piece was far from the same ambiance; his performance piece consisted of runners running through the museum at thirty-second intervals. The piece was completed in 2008.

The piece is documented by photography and video. The piece has many dimensions as it is a work preformed in a space. The work has a physical and human spirit to it as Creed instructed the sprinters to sprint as fast as possible as if their lives depended on it.  Work No.850 emphasis human movement through the performers. The performers were people from all different backgrounds all over London.
