Your photo mini-assignment is due Tues. Sept. 25, 9 am:

1) Create a visually compelling scene/set that you can photograph with a variety of considerations.

This doesn't have to be "the" set you use for your actual animation, but it should be composed with visual interest and composition in mind.  (Think about and use a variety of shapes, color, textures, background, placement of objects, etc.)
This can be on a table top, desktop, on a chair, floor, sidewalk, etc.

2) With your camera on tripod, shoot your scene the following nine ways.

1) shallow depth of field

2) deep depth of field

3) existing lighting

4) using a key light

5) using bounced light

6) up close w/wide angle

7) far away (with telephoto zoom if you have one)

8) showing something in motion: use a slow shutter speed (1/30, 1/15, and lower)

9) In your set up, you should have a light, medium, and dark object. (If not, then add objects so that this is true).  For this photo, your task is to properly light it and carefully choose the camera’s exposure (f-stop and shutter speed) so that one of these objects is properly exposed and is the visual focus for the scene.
